Priorities

Neighborhood Revitalization

Community Specific Action Plans

  • Listen to the concerns of residents and create individual, community specific action plans. Each community has a unique vision for its redevelopment and should be addressed accordingly.

Economic Development

  • Focus on the development of a skilled and well-trained labor force.
  • Work with local business leaders to help them grow their businesses and provide high quality jobs for local workers.

Blight

  • Make a concerted effort to target absentee landlords and non-compliant owners who allow their property to fall into disrepair.
  • Utilize the depressed real estate market to make a committed land banking effort.

Renewed Investment in Children

Health

  • Endeavor to ensure children in our community are born healthy, are immunized and receive proper health and oral care.

Early Education

  • Ensure children begin their education ready to learn. Quality daycare is essential for children to develop on target and enjoy success in school.
